NO COMMON FACES IN NEXT YEAR’S PEAGENT AUDITIONS – ALICE MUSUKWA TELLS ASPIRANT MODELS

Zambian peagentry country director Alice Rowlands Musukwa took to her socials to share an announcement to models who are aspiring to audition for the top five crowns next year.

Alice Rowlands Musukwa who is the owner of ARM Model Management Agency which holds the licence for the top crowns said only models who haven’t participated in two or more peagents in the past two years are eligible to audition next year or in the future.

“If you are planning to audition for any of the BIG FIVE crowns next year or in the future under Arm model management, make sure you are not a common face that has participated in more than one pageant in two years whether locally or internationally,” she said.

This means contestants such as Faith Bwalya who have participated in Miss Lumiere International(2023), Top Model(TOP Model) and Miss World Zambia and Miss World 2025 is not eligible to contest in a any peagent in the next two years.

The peagentry country director who revealed that this is a rule all previous contestants know said this is in order to reduce the recycling model, which she referred to as “common faces.”

“Miss Pageant Zambia prides itself on representing relatively unknown contestants and not common faces,” said Alice Rowlands Musukwa.

“After a year of being off Pageant scene, they need to learn how to value themselves,” she added in response to a social user who expressed concern over the rule as they said it excludes models who have potential and still want to go for the crowns – and she further encouraged them to work on themselves, get the exposure and wait.

The top five crowns include Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Supranational, Miss International, and Miss Earth.

Under ARM Model Management Agency and Alice Rowlands Musukwa, the peagentry has regained popularity, seen Faith Bwalya participate in the 72nd edition of Miss World in Telangana, India and now Namakau Nawa is headed to Poland for Miss Supranational which kicks off on June 27th 2025.

Other crown titleholders, like Kunda Mwamulima, is also scheduled to participate in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, which will take place starting November 21st, 2025.

Despite these phenomenon strides, social users are sceptical about the rule as they feel that it will cut off potential international peagentry winner who have experience.

Some reference to the winner of Miss World 2025 Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand came out as 3rd runners-up at Miss Universe 2024.

This year, she won the Miss World 2025 title, with some attributing her success to her experience in peagentry. Is Miss Peagent Zambia right to limit participants to “New faces” only?
