After her role in the popular Zambian telenovela ZUBA, the lead actress Mwaka Mugala gained massive admiration and stardom because of her eight seasons of authentic and emotionally resonant performances.
Her beloved fans who hoped to see her give another exhilarating screen performance are in lucky as renowned filmmaker Wyclif Mwamba, desperately sort for her services to star in his next movie.
In his pursuit to have the actress star in his movie, Wyclif Mwamba had some good remarks to share about the actress. “Am a huge fan of Mwaka Mugala, we have shared a screen together on many occasions, but I still feel goosebumps each time I am around her,” said the filmmaker.
Progress has been made as the actress together with others who will be part of the production had their first table reading of the script.
The filmmaker has also announced that the filming of his upcoming movie is set for tomorrow, June 24th, 2025.
“There will be enough rest for me when I die. Apa no resting, tomorrow we start shooting the movie,” said the filmmaker today.
Truly, the filmmaker is not resting as his recent film release Contravene is barely a month old with only a single sold out screening in late may 2025 during its premiere.
The fans are excited to see Mwaka Mugala back on their screens and it seems it is really soon but their biggest question is, how will they watch the movie as there usually is only a few screenings for most Zambian films.
