BLOCK BOOMPLAY IN ZAMBIA UNTIL THEY PAY MONEY THEY OWE ARTISTS – DJ MZENGA MAN ASKS GOVERNMENT

After revealing that Boomplay had not paid Zambian artists for over two years and called for the company to be sued.

DJ Mzenga Man now calls on the Ministry of Arts to join forces with Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority(ZICTA) to block the streaming platform’s operations in the country.

He wrote, “I think Ministry of Arts needs to engage ZICTA to block access to Boomplay website from operating in Zambia until they settle their outstanding debts to Zambian Musicians in the last 2 to 3years. This step is neccesary.”

Boomplay is owned by Transsnet Music Limited, a Hong Kong registered company. Its failure to pay artists has caused most the artists to boycott the streaming platform.
