“WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE BEAT?” – YO MAPS’ FANS ASK AS SOME CALL FOR HIM TO RE-DO LWAMBO

Several thousands of TikTokers took to the platform to use a sound from a shot clip of top Zambian singer YO MAPS vibing to a song whilst in his studio.

For months, that song’s sound was abused with captions begging the singer to release it. Finally, the singer decided to release the song LWAMBO.

Like wild fire, the song’s performance video spread, gathering over 374,000 on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release.

Nosooner, the song came out than some of the fans reacted using the first short clips’ sound, saying the singer had changed the beat and melodies, hence reducing the emotional effect it had.

One TikToker expressing her dissatisfaction commented, “I’m a number 1 fan, but he shouldn’t have replaced or added any instruments to it. The first one carries a greater vibe and emotion.”

While others requested the singer for him to redo the song, some were pretty satisfied, saying he doesn’t miss, and others suggested giving the song some time, and it would start sounding great.

“Just, wait, that’s how all his songs sound in the beginning. Just give it two weeks. You will see my opinion,” wrote Jamaimah98.

It seems what gave this song life is its highly relatable message, but most importantly, its beat as combined with the melodies made it so soothing, and that is what most of his fans are missing on the official released song.

Regardless, the song has been received well and has gained traction as it currently sits on over 860,000 YouTube views in three days.
