TAY GRIN WAS SUPPOSED TO GO THROUGH ZAM & TONE DOWN A BIT – B FLOW

ZAM president Brian Bwembya alias B Flow shared his thoughts on Malawian singer Tay Grin’s social media uproar over Zambians not welcoming their artists like Malawians do when he featured on POWER TV’s Zaye Zahala hosted by Suecey.

The ZAM president said that Tay Grin’s call for a 22-artists show meant to promote artists from both countries and bridge the two industries was a good idea, but he didn’t like his approach.
“When you are doing such things, you have to go through ZAM,” said the Zambia Music Association president in part.
He further added that had he gone through Zambia Association of Musicians(ZAM) which he heads, he would have organised the eleven artists that the singer needed to add to the eleven from his country in order to make the 22-artists event.
“That’s a beautiful idea, it’s welcome. I like Tay Grin and what he advocates for when it comes to culture. He just needs to tone down a bit,” added B Flow.
President B Flow acknowledged that there is a need for strategising in order for both countries’ artists’ music to succeed in Zambia and Malawian.
Nevertheless, B Flow saw no substance in Tay Grin’s claims. He gave several examples of Malawian artists such as Driemo and Namadingo, including Tay Grin, who have done great things in Zambia.
