FAZ & KCM SIGN RECORD SPONSORSHIP DEAL CREATING ZFA CUP & COPPER QUEENS BRAND, IMAGE RIGHTS

FAZ and KCM have signed a record deal that will see the creation of a K7.2 million per year Zambia Football Association Cup (ZFA Cup).
“The newly introduced ZFA Cup is all-encompassing, with teams in amateur and professional leagues competing against each other in all 10 provinces, and it caters for both men and women,” said Keith Mweemba, the FAZ president.
“It is the first time in Zambia’s football history that women will now start competing in cup games of this nature,” he added.
This record deal, which totals K10.8 million, will also see K3.6 million channeled to the Copper Queens for brand and image rights.
“Welcoming the sponsorship, defender Margaret Belemu, who was accompanied by teammates Lushomo Mweemba and Evarine Katongo, thanked KCM and promised to reciprocate with a WAFCON trophy,” the football association said.
