GOD TOLD ME TO MARRY QUEEN THROUGH A DREAM; I CALLED AND ASKED TO MARRY HER AND SHE ACCEPTED – WYCLIF MWAMBA

Filmmaker WYCLIF MWAMBA opened up about how he met his wife, QUEEN, in 2008 at his uncle’s church, as she used to be in the choir while he was the drama director.

“Wali wama cheeky,” WYCLIF described QUEEN at that time, as she never gave him attention despite his early success and popularity which he received writing for SPEAK OUT MAGAZINE’s “What A Life.”
With the tension between them, the filmmaker found himself on a wedding lineup paired with QUEEN.
Wyclif Mwamba said his pursuit to marry his wife came after he had a dream that he was a police officer and married to QUEEN, a revelation he said came from God.
“I saw it clearly that I was a cop here (Kamfinsa), then QUEEN was my wife, nishi tatumfwana,” said the filmmaker who, at that time, was in a relationship with a woman from Chipata.
He went further to say the following day during evening wedding rehearsals, he felt differently about QUEEN, as he said, “I started looking at QUEEN in a different light,” but added that there was still tension between them.
The year after the wedding, Wyclif Mwamba moved to Kamfinsa and had forgotten about QUEEN. But upon nearing completion of his police officer training, he had an epiphany as he remembered his dream from the year before – he was now a cop but lacked the woman he had dreamed of as his wife.
He then looked for her number and, after a long struggle, he finally managed to talk to her through her brother, but they only exchanged pleasantries.
A day later, he requested her number. He gathered his courage and called QUEEN, who was in the 11th grade at the time, and said, “QUEEN, I had a dream and in the dream you are my twin, God showed me that you are my wife. I want to marry you.”
Wyclif then lied to his superiors about having a sick relative to get permission to see QUEEN in Ndola, but on the way he called another girl, Elizabeth—something he said was wrong and a diversion from what God planned for him.
However, despite the trio meeting, Wyclif said he was moved more after seeing QUEEN than after seeing Elizabeth. Therefore, he told Elizabeth that he wanted her for a movie role and, after she left, he professed his marriage intentions to QUEEN.
After he went back to camp, he received a call informing him that she had accepted his proposal. The two got married after she completed her secondary education.
The filmmaker and QUEEN have now been married for over a decade and have five children together, who include Promise, Wyclif, Joshua, Maria, and Kanyanta.
