BOMBSHELL GRENADE NOMINATED FOR “HIP-HOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR” AT BASADI IN MUSIC AWARDS 2026
YO MAPS & BOMBSHELL’s hit song “WEKA” earns the rapper a nomination at South Africa’s BASADI IN MUSIC AWARDS 2026 for “Hip-hop Artist of the Year.”
The Zambian female hip-hop marvel is going against ROUGE (SA), MEGA SNOWFLAKE (SA), XXC LEGACY (SA), K.KEED (SA), NADIA NAKAI (SA), and NEY THE BAE (SA) for the prestigious awards.
BombShell Grenade is the only Zambian female artist competing at the said awards. The rapper has put in extra work in the past year, as the song that necessitated her nomination became her biggest career release, hitting over 2.4 million YouTube views in a little over 2 months.
Voting is now open for the 5th edition on the website and closes on 18th July 2026, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 7th–8th August 2026 at the Joburg Theatre, Johannesburg, South Africa.
