YO MAPS says people don’t know what DRIMZ did for him like they do with MACKY 2 because it wasn’t on social media; regardless, he appreciates both of them.
“I appreciate both of them. They did, ah, whatever they did for me; I mean, I am grateful, man,” said the singer before adding that he appreciates Drimz for setting him up with big artists like Drifta during his up-and-coming days.
He further said, “We were working like brothers,” and added that at one point Drimz’s studio got burnt and he stepped up, becoming his producer.
This story has resurfaced after news of Yo Maps, DJ Kandeke, and Drimz meeting, discussing, and squashing their differences, with the two artists seen performing together joyfully in Kisasa, North-Western at a UPND campaign rally yesterday for the first time since their “Boomplay portal” tension in August 2025.
